Deirdre Stewart has over 25 years of marketing and development experience in multiple health care sectors, including behavioral health, biotech, and medical device. Prior to joining The Braff Group, Deirdre was the Manager of Market Development for Intelomed, an early-stage medical device company where she was instrumental in the commercialization of a device used for hemodynamic monitoring. She also led the efforts in understanding the reimbursement and payor environments for bringing this product to market. Prior to Intelomed, Deirdre worked with another medical device company where she was helped negotiate with CMS in the successful reversal of a negative policy decision regarding the company’s flagship product. Deirdre has significant knowledge of the reimbursement world and the intricacies of how health care companies navigate reimbursement pathways.
Throughout her career, Deirdre has always played a lead role in the analysis of policy and market trends to understand the implications and opportunities for growth of the company at hand. She worked at The Mentor Network for twelve years where she was the Director of Research and Planning in the Business Development Group. During that time, she led the activities for both organic growth and the identification, qualification, and due diligence of acquisition candidates, which resulted in the acquisition of 25 companies in less than five years. In this capacity, Deirdre first worked with the current Behavioral Health team at The Braff Group for over seven years.
Deirdre has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University.
