Rick joined The Braff Group in 2018 with a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and valuation.  As an analyst, he leveraged this knowledge to successfully guide clients and assist Managing Directors through the full spectrum of the sale process.  In 2022, Rick was promoted to Director of Finance and is now heavily involved in the overall direction and development of the finance team.

Prior to joining The Braff Group, Rick worked at a boutique investment banking firm where he participated in M&A deals with transaction size up to $600M in various industries, including health care and technology. Rick’s responsibilities consisted of business valuation, transaction due diligence, deal negotiation and execution, financial analysis, and financial modeling. Prior to Rick’s investment banking experience, he worked in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and compliance at PNC Bank and Schneider Downs & Co., Inc., a public accounting firm.

Rick holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh with a concentration in Finance and a BS in Business Administration with majors in both Finance and Marketing and a minor in Economics. While obtaining his MBA, Rick achieved three academic certificates: Business Valuation, Corporate Financial Management, and Investment Management.
