Premier Care

Community Medical Services, a portfolio company of Clearview Capital, announced its acquisition of Premier Care. The medication-assisted treatment provider operates seven opioid treatment programs (“OTPs”) across Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This transaction will help CMS expand its efforts in offering treatment for the opioid crisis. The Braff Group served as Premier Care’s exclusive advisor.

Xcite Steps

Based in California, Xcite Steps provides Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Invo Healthcare, a national provider of school and community behavioral health and other therapeutic services to individuals with special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, acquired the company. The Braff Group facilitated the transaction.

WaldenSierra

WaldenSierra, which provides mental health and substance use disorder residential, outpatient, and recovery support services, was acquired by Pyramid Healthcare, a portfolio company of Clearview Capital, LLC. This acquisition expands Pyramid’s footprint to Maryland and increases WaldenSierra’s technical and clinical capabilities to accelerate growth.

Lighthouse Autism Center received a strategic investment from Abry Partners, which represents Abry’s platform entry into the autism services sector.  The partnership with Abry will allow Lighthouse management to accelerate geographic and service line expansion.

Gateway Pediatric Therapy

Gateway Pediatric Therapy received a majority investment from BrightSpring Health Services.  The transaction represents BrightSpring’s entrance into the autism services market in Michigan and an expansion of the company’s overall autism services footprint. The Braff Group provided advisory services to Gateway.

Fairhaven Treatment Center

Fairhaven Treatment Center was acquired by Lindsay Goldberg through its portfolio company, Refresh Mental Health.  The acquisition represents an expansion of capacity for the Refresh Mental Health platform and entrance into a new market, the mid-south United States.

CCMC School, an affiliate of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, was acquired by Pharos Capital Group through its portfolio company, Family Treatment Network (“FTN”).  The acquisition broadens FTN’s special education services and creates an opportunity to provide complementary behavioral health services in the Northeast.

The S.P.A.R.K.S. Group

The Sparks Group, a provider of applied behavior analysis and speech and language therapy services to children on the autism spectrum in Maryland and the District of Columbia, was acquired by Learn-It Systems, a portfolio company of LLR Partners, Inc.  The transaction expands its MidAtlantic footprint.

Behavior Care Specialists, Inc.

Pharos Capital Group, LLC, through its Family Treatment Network platform, has acquired Behavior Care Specialists. Sioux Falls-based BCS is an outpatient treatment provider of autism spectrum disorder services based on the principles of ABA, serving 140 children across four states. The BCS model adds an early-childhood focused component to FTN’s platform of services.

Creative Family Solutions, a behavioral health and social service provider located in Virginia was acquired by ResCare, a national, multi-state provider of residential, workforce, homecare, education, and pharmacy services to people with disabilities. The transaction increases ResCare’s presence in VA.

Trellis Services, Inc.

Trellis Services, a highly regarded provider of services to patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, was acquired by Learn-It Systems, one of the nation’s largest providers of academic supports, special education, and managed classrooms. The deal expands Learn-It’s coverage of autism services, a fast growing segment in behavioral health.

Alliance Family Services North, Inc

Alliance Family Services, a provider of outpatient mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, and community-based services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities was acquired by Sequel Youth and Family Services, a nationwide provider of behavioral health services. The deal expands Sequel’s footprint in Idaho.

Oceans HealthCare

General Catalyst Partners acquired Oceans Healthcare to establish a platform in the Behavioral Health sector.
