Curtis LTC Pharmacy Services was acquired by Health Direct, the long-term care pharmacy division of KPH Healthcare Services.  KPH is headquartered in upstate New York and is better known as Kinney Drugs, a diversified pharmacy company focused on retail pharmacy, nursing home pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management.  This acquisition expands the footprint of Health Direct into the state of Pennsylvania to enhance their geographic expansion plans.

Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio

The VNA of Ohio, one of the largest providers of Home Health, Hospice and Personal Care services in Ohio was acquired by the VNA Health Group of New Jersey, the second largest VNA in the country. The partnership will help both organizations deliver improved health outcomes for patients while expanding access, meeting the increased demand for post acute care, mental health, and population health services.

Hometown Home Health and Hospice

Hometown Home Health & Hospice, a large family-owned Home Health & Hospice agency, was acquired by Residential Home Health & Hospice, a subsidiary of Graham Holdings (NYSE: GHC). The acquisition supplements and extends the Michigan based service area for Residential. The Braff Group served as the Hometown’s exclusive merger and acquisition advisor.

Hammer Medical Supply

Hammer Medical, Iowa’s largest independent HME company was acquired by NuCara, a full-service community based pharmacy, which specializes in custom prescription compounding, home medical equipment, ostomy and wound care, home oxygen/respiratory services. The acquisition expands NuCara’s offering of home medical equipment, respiratory services, and home modification.

Southern Resources Consultants, Inc.

Southern Resources Consultants, a Georgia-based provider of residential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, was acquired by RHA Health Services. The transaction expands RHA’s geographic footprint in Georgia.

Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders

Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, a Georgia-based provider of outpatient healthcare services to individuals with eating disorders, was acquired by Walden Behavioral Care.  The transaction expands Walden’s system of care to the southeastern U.S.
