Simplicity Rx, an independent provider of specialty pharmacy services for chronic disease patients in Ohio and surrounding states was acquired by a subsidiary of CVS Pharmacy. CVS is a large national provider of pharmacy services, and the transaction will expand their patient care resources and infrastructure in Ohio.

Home I.V. Specialists

Home I.V. Specialist, Inc., the largest independent provider of home infusion pharmacy in Arkansas, was acquired by Option Care Enterprises, Inc. Option Care is headquartered in Illinois and is the largest independent national provider of home infusion therapy services. The transaction expands Option Care’s facility footprint and service area throughout the entire state of Arkansas.

Encompass RX

Encompass RX, an Atlanta Georgia based specialty pharmacy was acquired by CVS Health, Inc. The transaction enhances the existing specialty pharmacy service capabilities of CVS in the southeastern United States.

Central Drugs

Central Drugs, a specialty-retail pharmacy servicing chronic disease patients in Oregon, was acquired by the specialty pharmacy division of CVS. The acquisition furthers the goal of providing convenient and quality care to patients with chronic diseases in the Oregon area.

Transcript Pharmacy

Transcript Pharmacy, a regional specialty pharmacy headquartered in Mississippi, was acquired by Noble Health Services, Inc., a subsidiary of KPH Healthcare Services out of New York. The transaction expands Noble Health’s growing specialty pharmacy business into the southeast and mid-south geography.

Home I.V. Care and Nutritional Services

Home IV Care & Nutritional Services was acquired by Advanced Homecare Inc, a North Carolina based nonprofit corporation focused on servicing patients in the southeastern US. Home IV Care provides home intravenous medications and services to patients throughout Virginia. This acquisition expands Advance Homecare’s footprint into the central Virginia market.

Curtis Long Term Care Pharmacy Services

Curtis LTC Pharmacy Services was acquired by Health Direct, the long-term care pharmacy division of KPH Healthcare Services.  KPH is headquartered in upstate New York and is better known as Kinney Drugs, a diversified pharmacy company focused on retail pharmacy, nursing home pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management.  This acquisition expands the footprint of Health Direct into the state of Pennsylvania to enhance their geographic expansion plans.

Infusion Resource

Specialty home infusion company Infusion Resource in Rhode Island was acquired by Amerita, Inc., a division of PharMerica. The transaction helps Amerita’s expansion into the eastern United States. The Braff Group provided exclusive merger and acquisition advisory services to Infusion Resource.

F&M Specialty Pharmacy

ReCept Pharmacy, a Texas-based specialty and retail pharmacy, acquired Mississippi-based F&M Specialty Pharmacy that focuses on servicing organ transplant patients. The acquisition provides ReCept Pharmacy a new geographic market as well as a new therapy line.

Healy Pharmacy

Apothecary by Design, a portfolio company of BelHealth Investment Partners acquired Healy Pharmacy blending Healy’s strength in oncology and ABD’s experience in infectious and inflammatory diseases.

PromptCare, a northeast regional provider of home infusion therapy and respiratory products, and a portfolio company of private equity sponsor MidMark Capital, acquired Boston Home Infusion which has served the Boston area since 1992.  The acquisition expands PromptCare’s service offerings in Massachusetts.

Medco, a Houston based provider of high quality enteral therapy and other products and services was acquired by Epic Health Services, a portfolio company of Webster Capital.  The deal compliments Epic’s recent acquisition of Option 1 Healthcare solutions, the leading enteral nutrition provider in the western US.

Pri-Med, a Chicago based infusion therapy and home health provider was acquired by KabaFusion, a multi-site infusion therapy and specialty pharmacy provider serving more than 30 states across the country.  The acquisition provides KabaFusion with a base of operations to serve the Great Lakes region.

InfusionRx

InfusionRx, a California based provider of infusion therapy and specialty pharmacy services was acquired by Amerita, a division of institutional pharmacy provider Pharmerica Corporation (NYSE:PMC).  The transaction is part of PharMerica’s ongoing strategy to expand its infusion therapy service offerings and market coverage.

Altius Healthcare

Altius Healthcare, a home infusion therapy and pharmacy services provider with multiple locations in Arizona was acquired by Amerita.  The transaction added new geography for Amerita.
